@  MrsAitch : (03 September 2015 - 02:23 PM) I went out and re-filled all the feeders, think I've scared them off now :( Thought it would entice them back!
@  Kendra : (03 September 2015 - 02:13 PM) Scarf, I knew someo9ne who hoarded cats, dogs and rats. The rats go out and bred, when they bit her I had to call the RSPCA
@  Kendra : (03 September 2015 - 02:11 PM) I once saw one, just once, caught for bird recording, they hae the most beautiful proper gold breast and so tiny.
@  TomsMum : (03 September 2015 - 02:08 PM) Yes we have had them in the garden occasionally - I don't have a photo though
@  Kendra : (03 September 2015 - 02:05 PM) Has anyone ever seen a goldcrest up close?
@  Scarf : (03 September 2015 - 01:54 PM) It's so sad a lot of hoarders hoard animals :(
@  MrsAitch : (03 September 2015 - 11:17 AM) I keep trying, but as soon as they see movement at the kitchen window they all fly off! I'll keep trying!
@  dianaT : (03 September 2015 - 10:43 AM) Wonderful, can you manage a photo?
@  MrsAitch : (03 September 2015 - 09:31 AM) Proud parent alert - The pair of European Goldfinches that have been on my feeders all summer have just appeared on their with their newly fledged babies :D
@  sunnyring : (03 September 2015 - 09:15 AM) i can't understand why anyone would go on that show
@  revets : (03 September 2015 - 08:37 AM) that was gross the way she lived
@  Lisa7284 : (01 September 2015 - 10:38 PM) That is a good point- I hadn't looked at it that way. It was on Channel 4 Essie. There was very old parrot poop and dust everywhere. Not a healthy environment for her birds and herself
@  Stinkie : (01 September 2015 - 10:04 PM) ohh what channel is this? i could watch it on iplayer
@  TomsMum : (01 September 2015 - 09:34 PM) What amazed me most was that they interviewed a vet who said that the animals were all well cared for, well the state of the parrot room.... Well it was awful, I don't know how he could have said that
@  TomsMum : (01 September 2015 - 09:32 PM) We were talking about one of the homes shown on Obsessive compulsive cleaners on Channel 4, the lady had all sorts of animals, reptiles, parrots, chickens in the kitchen, and the place hadn't been cleaned in.... Years!
@  Stinkie : (01 September 2015 - 09:30 PM) what are you talking about?
@  TomsMum : (01 September 2015 - 09:22 PM) I don't know... Or maybe their immune systems become more resilient as it has to work harder?
@  Lisa7284 : (01 September 2015 - 09:10 PM) I was thinking that. :( I wonder if some breeds are more resilient to infection?
@  TomsMum : (01 September 2015 - 09:07 PM) Me too.... Especially with what happened with our Tommy
@  Lisa7284 : (01 September 2015 - 09:01 PM) I don't know how that lady AND her birds didn't get sick!
