@  DizzyBlue : (31 March 2015 - 04:39 AM) :) nice one just double check your reading a uk site not a USA site and its listed by its latin name sometimes we have similar names for things but it aint the same plant in both countries
@  divegirl : (30 March 2015 - 06:48 PM) Cheers Tascha, I've found it listed as a aviary bush a couple of times so will assume it's all safe :) night hun x
@  DizzyBlue : (30 March 2015 - 06:39 PM) later peeps have a good one :) xx
@  DizzyBlue : (30 March 2015 - 06:32 PM) as long as you can identify the plant correctly by its latin name then you can locate if it poisonous or not some plants are know by a variety of common names but it doesn't mean they are parrot safe. If you "think" a plant is this or that then don't go near it if you "know" the plant is blah blah blah definitively without any shadow of doubt then you should research it and find out its contents but to be honest there are heaps in the listing. Magnolia flowers will be out soon :) the lilac nice and yummy the hawthorn shoots and don't forget the willow too
@  DizzyBlue : (30 March 2015 - 06:24 PM) ooo thats a bit big!!
@  DizzyBlue : (30 March 2015 - 06:24 PM) confirm what??? what am i looking at ??? Posted Image
@  divegirl : (30 March 2015 - 05:53 PM) Excellent... I have so much of this lol
@  Julia : (30 March 2015 - 05:43 PM) Lisa, my apologies..I had always heard it was poisonous to humans so assumed the same for birds, have just read a couple of articles that say its safe
@  divegirl : (30 March 2015 - 05:21 PM) Tascha, can you confirm or deny the below for me please :)
@  divegirl : (30 March 2015 - 03:55 PM) seems it is safe :)
@  divegirl : (30 March 2015 - 03:55 PM) haha, I've asked this before http://www.theparrot...ia-parrot-safe/
@  divegirl : (30 March 2015 - 03:47 PM) Sorry for my absence, I'm working right now, it does appear to be forsythia, so a no no. Thanks :)
@  dianaT : (30 March 2015 - 03:33 PM) I believe our birdies should not have either - dizzyblue will let us know I am sure.
@  dianaT : (30 March 2015 - 03:32 PM) I think you mean Gorse (it smells of coconut) and the none spiky one is Broom.
@  Julia : (30 March 2015 - 03:13 PM) if you mean forsythia, it is very poisonous
@  Kendra : (30 March 2015 - 01:46 PM) Sorry, so is gorse, Shucks all over the place here and "Do Not Touch".
@  Kendra : (30 March 2015 - 01:44 PM) Broom is full of alkaloid toxins, so probably not.
@  Kendra : (30 March 2015 - 01:42 PM) Maybe be broom, that can be deciduos and have no spikes, unfortunately I can not find out. It grows and flowers all year round here so would be brilliant if they could.
@  divegirl : (30 March 2015 - 01:39 PM) No they lose all theit leaves, more whippy than spikey, will get a picture :)
@  Kendra : (30 March 2015 - 01:35 PM) Do you mean the broom or gorse, spikey yellow things , don't loose there leaves in winter?
